SingleSport Privacy Notice
This explains how and why we acquire and use your personal information in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Singlesport is a sole trading business registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
We only hold the minimum information in our web-based “my bookings” system. This information is provided by you & can be accessed, edited or deleted by you at any time. This information is required for the legitimate reason of booking your holiday and without it you would not be able to proceed with a booking.
We may collect the following information about you:
Forename, Surname, Email Address, Home Town, Tel Contact Number/ mobile number, Gender,
Age Group and payment details if you choose to pay by card.
We may use your information
For the legitimate purpose of providing you with services and information about our holidays by telephone, email, post or SMS
If you create an account in “my bookings” you will be included in newsletter mailings from Singlesport which are relevant to your holidays. Some people who have provided their email address but not created an account in “my bookings” may also have requested to be including in these mailings. In either case you can unsubscribe from newsletters at any time by scrolling to the bottom of the mail & clicking UNSUBSCRIBE or through the contact details below.
Sharing of information
Your name, home town and mobile number are shared with other members of the group in order to make contact before the holiday or to share transport to or parking at airports in the UK and to make contact during the holiday. Your mobile will be also be used in an emergency, for example, if you or another member of the group is lost whilst ski-ing or if there are changes to travel arrangements.
Your full information is shared with the company providing the holiday because your contract is with them and your payments are made to them. We need to know age group to organise room shares & lift passes. You can ask to see their privacy policy when you book and if you are not happy to proceed they will destroy your data unless you give them permission to retain it.
We store your information
- Within the European Economic Area (EEA)
- If we transfer data outside the EEA we will ensure that before we do so there is adequate protection in place to ensure the security of your data and you may contact us to obtain copies of these safeguards. For example some of our e-mails are provided by an organisation called mail chimp which is based in USA.
- We keep your information secure by storing the information you provide us securely.
We keep your information until you delete it
—for as long as it is needed to manage your account and for a maximum of six years after your account has been closed which accords with most legal limitation periods in the UK unless we are required to retain your information for a longer period by law. Your e mailing details with regards to the newsletter will be deleted immediately, whenever you choose not to receive them anymore.
You have the right to;
- Access the information we hold about you
- Make changes to your information to make sure it is accurate and up to date
- Ask us to stop or limit our use of or to delete your information in certain circumstances
- Receive your information in a format the suits you
- Transfer your information to a third party
