Sometimes we organise social weekends in the UK which make an ideal introduction for new members & a reunion for those who have travelled before. You can also visit me in Reading or chat on the phone any time. We put you in touch with other guests in your area before you travel to share airport parking and travel  if you wish.

Many people prefer  a single room and we try to find them  for a reasonable amount. I am also pleased to introduce guests who do not smoke or snore if they wish to share at a reduced cost

Very good company to ski with! Usually the tour operator gives the tour leader a free place or some commission which helps me to cover the cost of running the SingleSport web site, advertising etc In return for this I have to undertake to deal with all the enquiries & administration for the group prior to travel.

This varies but usually 40s to 60+. Please ask me to advise further on any particular holiday

Couples are a very small minority but some have met on our holidays & continue to travel with us . If you book as a single & between now & then meet a new partner you wish to include that’s fine too. Couples will often ski in separate groups

No it isn’t. We are simply a social group bringing together solo skiers who enjoy good company and want to be part of a group. Our members may be single or they may have a partner who  doesn’t ski. Lots of friendships have been formed & members have gone on to book additional trips privately with friends they have met through Singlesport. If its important to you at the time of booking I will be able to tell you how many men & ladies have booked but this will obviously vary as the bookings come in & hopefully you will help by inviting your friends to join us.

Please invite anyone you know or put a note on your local notice board at the gym or dry ski slope. It is much appreciated if you would also mention Singlesport on the various ski forums and tag  @singlesportholidays  Singlesport Holidays on Facebook

One day when SingleSport is much bigger perhaps we might organise a chalet for single parents with their children but currently it is not viable. Many members do however bring their grown up children in their 20s particularly at Christmas.

Couples are a very small minority but some have met on our holidays & continue to travel with us . If you book as a single & between now & then meet a new partner you wish to include that’s fine too. Couples will often ski in separate groups.

Please remember that SingleSport is not a travel agent. I am simply inviting you to join a party but your contract will be with the tour operator & so please familiarise yourself with all their terms & conditions .

Some holidays might include a flight and transfer. Others organised by smaller companies will invite you to make your own travel arrangements. For your convenience they will usually offer a transfer.

If your outbound flight is disrupted and you miss your transfer this is a matter for you to discuss with your airline and insurer.  If the return transfer is delayed and this causes you to miss a flight or incur a hotel cost you would also need to claim against your travel insurance if the delay was beyond the control of the tour operator.

You are advised to update the contact details in the back of your passport and make sure that person has details of your holiday insurance. It is also wise to keep a note of your insurance details, emergency contacts, credit card and EHIC or GHIC card in your ski jacket

Yes. We  offer  Beach clubs in the summer which include a huge variety of land and water sports. As our membership grows it may be possible to organise more specialised holidays in a variety of other sports

Singlesport is the trading name of Ruth Paul.  Singlesport puts together groups of solo travellers for shared holidays.

Singlesport is not a travel agency.  Singlesport gets groups of people together and facilitates group holidays.  Singlesport does not receive any payment from holidaymakers but may receive free holidays and other payments or commissions from the holiday companies.

If Singlesport accepts any money from holiday makers this is only to facilitate the administration of the booking and is passed to the holiday company without any deduction.  Singlesport does not sell holidays.

The recommended holidays are all operated by specialist companies in their field. Your payments are made to these companies and your contracts are with them and subject to their terms and conditions.  Some are protected by their ABTA and ATOL licences whilst others may not be.

Some holidays might include a flight and transfer. Others organised by smaller companies will invite you to make your own travel arrangements. Where you make your own arrangements then again your contact is with the airline/transfer company.

Whilst Singlesport recommends these holidays it does not accept any responsibility or liability for them and you must take up any dispute with your holiday/travel provider under the terms of your contract with them.

You agree with Singlesport that you will have adequate travel insurance including off piste skiing insurance if you plan to ski off piste with or without a guide. .  You also agree with Singlesport that you will travel with an up to date EHIC or GHIC  card for holidays in Europe.
