If you are lucky enough to be free to ski at Christmas you need to make sure you find a sociable ski group that ticks all your boxes. The last thing you want is to be “Billy no mates” at Christmas time.

First choose a resort that has a good snow record at the beginning of the season, that’s pretty important.

Singlesport has a holiday every Christmas for those who want to enjoy less crowded pistes & a less expensive holiday than they will find during  New Year week.

Here is a link to take you to this years dates https://singlesport.com/winter-holidays/

Perhaps you want to escape the commercialism of Christmas in the UK but still appreciate the special beauty of an Alpine Village decorated for the festive season against the picture postcard snowy back drop.

The Singlesport  ski group will give you the company you want, when you want it on and off the piste. The Singlesport concept is to  try to have groups of at least 20 to 30 people including skiers and boarders so that you always have choices rather than feeling an obligation to tow the line with a majority decision in a smaller group that needs to stick together every day.

Singlesport holidays are always half board & usually with free wine so that the banter flows over dinner, sit next to different people every night if you would like to & get to know everyone.

During the day its important to choose like minded  ski  and snowboarding buddies . Are you an early bird who wants to be with a group who catch the first lift or do you prefer to wander out nearer 10am? Will you want to be stopping for coffee or are you more likely to blast straight through to lunchtime? Will you finish early or get your monies worth out of your lift pass & make sure you are on the mountain  until the lifts close? Will you be heading for tea and cake apres or straight for the bar? More importantly are you a speed freak or someone who wants to ski or board at a much more gentle pace?

There are no right answers and that’s why you need to join a reasonably large group so you can seek out like minded buddies of similar abilities who want to ski your way. Its your holiday make sure you can make your own choices.

Sometimes we will choose a recommended restaurant or apres bar so that  those who have not been skiing together can find each other for the social bit if they want to.

At Christmas we have a wide age  group because some solo parents bring their grown up children & so there’s good company for everyone from 20 to 60s. Skiing and snowboarding are great levellers where  ability is more important than age groups on the slopes.Come and join the Singlesport ski group for solo skiers this Christmas.
